    Welcome to the ACA Student Nutrition Breakfast & Lunch Program!
     
    • Announcement of New Meal Vendor for Arlington Classics Academy

       

      Twelve Oaks Catering and Food Service of Dallas, TX has been selected to become the new meal vendor for breakfast and lunch service at ACA.

       

      Twelve Oaks has been serving the DFW area since 1989. They are in partnership with many schools and some businesses. They are committed to using local products and resources to provide a meal program that includes:

      • quality lean meats including turkey, turkey ham, chicken breast meat/baked drumsticks/baked thighs, and ground beef (no pork is included in their menus),
      • wholesome low-fat cheeses, various yogurts, and eggs,
      • fresh home-made breads many of which are whole grain,
      • a wide variety of fresh vegetables ~ which are cooked and prepared in their kitchen,
      • salads of lettuce mixes and dark, green leafy produce such as romaine, spinach, and kale, and
      • fresh fruits including melons, berries, and tropical fruits all within their own juice, not a syrup.

       

      Twelve Oaks has their own in-house bakery which provides home-baked bread goods that are included in their breakfast and lunch menus. These items include muffins, cinnamon rolls, sticky buns, fruit pastries, bagels, bread sticks, yeast rolls, cornbread, and biscuits, among others. Twelve Oaks is committed to high quality fresh foods.

       

      Twelve Oaks also provides choice. Each breakfast meal includes two choices of entree. Each lunch meal provides 2-3 delicious entree options. All meals meet the high standards dictated by the National School Lunch Program for sodium, fat, vegetable components, and whole grain components.

    PROCEDURES FOR PARTICIPATING

    IN THE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH PROGRAM

     

     

    • Menus will be distributed to parents by email and through the school office of every campus on or around the 15th of each month. Menus are also available to view on the ACA website. Students may still bring meals from home if they choose not to eat meals provided by the cafeteria.

    • Whether paying by cash, check, or credit card, all parents must set up an account for their student at http://www.ezschoolpay.com.  However, parents needing assistance in setting up their student's account may email katie.hobgood@acaedu.net

    • Forms for “Free Or Reduced Price Meals” are available at any ACA campus or the central administration building.  ALL meal forms should be returned to the central administration building for processing.  Failure to turn the form into the central administration building may delay processing of your form.  All forms are time-stamped on arrival at the central administration building and are processed in the order they are received.

    The meal application for free or reduced priced meal benefits can be picked up at any ACA campus.

    To file a program discrimination complaint, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, AD-3027, found online at How to File a Program Discrimination Complaint and at any USDA office or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form.
