About

Mrs. Johnson

I am so excited about my 3rd year of being a part of the amazing ACA Tribe! I was born and raised in Arlington, TX - Wood, Boles and graduated from Martin HS. I went on study music at Stephen F Austin State University. I am All-Level Music certified with my goal to teach high school choir. This changed during student teaching when I fell in love with elementary music. I taught one year in Dallas ISD and 19 years in Arlington ISD.
I am blessed with an amazing husband whom I met almost 20 yrs ago through community theatre. We have performed together in several musicals.  We have two precious cats, Percy & Emmet. I love all things Disney! It will look like Disney exploded in the music room because the students will enter, The Wonderful World of Music.

Kinder will be introduced to High and Low Pitches. They will learn through song, listening and movement. Students will end the lesson by seeing high and low using parachutes.

1st Grade will review high and low pitches. They will pay attention to how smaller instruments have a high pitch and large instruments have a low pitch. The students will then play songs using Boomwhackers.
