Dyslexia Services

  • As defined in Texas Education Code Section: 38.003 (1) “Dyslexia” means a disorder of constitutional origin manifested by a difficulty in learning to read, write, or spell, despite conventional instruction, adequate intelligence, and sociocultural opportunity.

ACA serves students with dyslexic tendencies at each campus for grades K-8.

All students are screened for dyslexia in kindergarten and first grade.

To assist families in understanding dyslexia, the International Dyslexia Association published this helpful guide: IDA Dyslexia Guide
