ACA's Griffin Fellows Program Honored as Education Champion Award Winner

ARLINGTON CLASSICS ACADEMY RECOGNIZED AS EDUCATION CHAMPION AT 40TH ANNUAL GOVERNOR’S VOLUNTEER AWARDS

Arlington, TX - April 19, 2024 - Arlington Classics Academy (ACA) was honored as an Education Champion at the prestigious 40th Annual Governor’s Volunteer Awards held on April 17th at the Governor’s Mansion in Austin. This recognition underscores ACA's unwavering commitment to excellence in education and its significant contributions to the community.  "At Arlington Classics Academy, volunteering is a cherished tradition embedded in our community's DNA” says Executive Director of Schools Craig Sims. “Our founders recognized the profound impact of giving back, not only on our students but on society as a whole. Through lessons in empathy, acts of generosity, and a commitment to our community, ACA students emerge as the next generation of civic-minded, socially engaged leaders.”

The Governor’s Volunteer Awards celebrate organizations and individuals who demonstrate exemplary dedication to volunteerism and community service across Texas. Each year, the Education Champion is awarded to a person or organization integrating service and volunteerism as a key component in student curriculum.  For over two decades, Arlington Classics Academy’s Griffin Goodfellow program has been incorporating lessons and activities related to giving back into their 1,500 student’s education helping to shape well-rounded individuals who are not only academically accomplished but also socially responsible and empathetic members of society.

"We are immensely proud to receive this esteemed honor," stated Mr. Sims.  "This award is in recognition of the efforts of all three vital “legs” of our three-legged stool: parents, students, and the staff. The ACA educational community continues to lead the way.”
